Angela Trude received her Masters in Science in Nutrition from the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil. She is currently a first year PhD student working for GOPC in the B’more Healthy Communities for Kids (BHCK) project led by Dr. Joel Gittelsohn.
Her research interests are in the environmental and social determinants of obesity prevention among low-income urban youth. Recently, she was awarded an Urban Health Institute Small Grant to work with the BHCK team to conduct formative research that will permit planning of a Recreation Center staff-training program designed to build sustainability of the BHCK-youth leader program at the recreation center level.
