Jenny Brooks, BS, DTR

Jenny graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Idaho State University. She is an AmeriCorps alum and a Dietetic Technician Registered. During her junior and senior years at Idaho State, she was the founding Student Manager of the campus food pantry. She also instigated research on the presence of weight bias in health professions students. In May 2015, Jenny received the Division of Health Sciences Outstanding Student Award.
Jenny is interested in developing sustainable community-based programs in low-resource urban communities. She is also interested in utilizing social media to reach youth with chronic disease prevention information. She hopes to work in policy to impact the food system. Jenny is the Secretary of the Students for International Health Group. She worked on the B'more Healthy Communities for Kids (BHCK) project under Dr. Joel Gittelsohn. Jenny worked primarily in data collection.
