Faculty
The Global Obesity Prevention Center (GOPC) at Johns Hopkins faculty come from a wide range of disciplines including those with deep experience and expertise in obesity—from nutrition and psychology to disciplines that have not traditionally addressed obesity, such as engineering and computer science. The GOPC spans across multiple departments and schools across Johns Hopkins University from the Department of International Health to Environmental Health Sciences at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to the Department of Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. The GOPC's mind meld of expertise allows the application of a systems approach to obesity prevention and control.
